APL 8-Ball "End of Session" Vegas Qualifier Tournament

The APL held their 8-Ball "End of Session" Vegas Qualifier Tournament at Tacony Billiard Club on February 27-28, 2010.  We had 45 teams that qualified for the tournament.  Wow! It was pool as pool should be, 76% of all matches played went the distance at 3-2. When it was all over "High Smooth" out of  Roosevelts Pub in Philadelphia beat out "Broad St. Bullies" playing out of Tacony Billiards in Philadelphia 3-2 for the victory and 1st place.  "Game Over" out of Tacony Billiards in Philadelphia beat out On-Cue out of  the Bridesburg Pub in Philadelphia 3-2 for 3rd place.  "public Enemy" out of Tacony Billiards in Philadelphia beat out "Appeteazers (Tom)" from Coatesville 3-2 for 5th place.  The payout was $10,000.00 and trophies going to the first 5 place teams with the first place team qualifying to play in the BCAPL national tournament in Las Vegas at the Riviera in May 2010.

Champions - High Smooth- Philadelphia - Captain Andrew Ostrobrod, other team members include: Kenny Rutman, Sladgan Yerkovic, James Walsh, Henry Biaesch, Erick McKee, Peter Carmichael, and Eric McLleod.

2nd Place - Broad St. Bullies- Philadelphia -Captain Julius "Jay" Veney other members include: Walter Butler, Leonardo Harrison, Jawan Walker, Saul Velazquez, Whawn "Shz" Davis, William Rucker, and Camile Hall

3rd - Game Over - Philadelphia - Captain Roberta Cha, other members include: Kenneth Ortiz, Alex Smith, Charles Spencer, and Lewis Thomas.

4th Place -On-Cue - Philadelphia - Captain Sammy Sega other members include: John Hurley, Reinaldo Ortega, Richard McLean, Andres Ruiz, and Theodore Rdnesinski.

5th Place - Public Enemy #1 - Philadelphia - Captain Irene Bowens other members include: Kent Gans, Robert Aycox, Jr., Frank Adams, Joseph Phillips, Donald Lewis, Hayward B. Peak, and Julian Nix.

Champions - High Smooth 1st Place $4,500.00 trophies and team entry fee paid into any BCAPL National Tournament at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas in May 2010	2nd Place - Broad St. Bullies $2,500.00 cash prize and trophies	3rd Place - Game Over $1,500.00 cash prize and trophies	4th Place - On-Cue $1,000.00 cash prize and trophies	5th Place - Public Enemy #1 $500.00 cash prize and trophies
