APL 8-Ball - The APL has
a 25 point team handicap limit with player’s handicaps
ranging from 2 to 7. Handicaps are adjusted by the amount
of innings played per game, how many defensive shots for
each game, how many balls a player leaves their opponent
with on the table after each game and how many wins and
losses a player accumulates. In APL 8-ball a player must
call a pocket for each ball made and mark the pocket when
shooting the 8-ball.
APL 9-Ball - The APL has a
25 point team handicap limit with player’s handicaps ranging
from 2 to 7. Handicaps are adjusted by the amount of
innings played per game, how many balls are made by a player
during a match and how many wins and losses a player
accumulates. In APL 9-ball a player must mark the pocket
when shooting the 9. All other balls do not have to be
called. APL 9-ball is played using a race grid as in
8-ball. An example is; if a skill level 5 is shooting a
skill level 4, it would be a 5-4 race.
